
Across all provinces of Nepal, the working-age population (15 to 59 years) exceeds the child population (below 14 years ) and elderly population (60 years and above) combined. Province 6 has the lowest % of the population belonging to the working-age population, whereas province 3 has the highest % of population belonging to the working-age population. The working age population is considered economically active whereas children and elderly population are considered as economically dependent.
