Nepal is the third most corrupted Country in South Asia according to the Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) report 2017 by Transparency International. Nepal ranks at 122nd position with a CPI score of 31 out of 100. Last year, Nepal ranked at 131 with a total score of 29. . The CPI is calculated using 13 different data sources from 12 different institutions that capture perceptions of corruption within past two years.
