Nepal had the 3rd lowest alcohol consumption in SouthAsia w 7.4 litres per capita among drinkers in 2016,but it was the cause of 2.3% of deaths.Globally,in 2016,over 3 million people,mainly men,died due to harmful use of alcohol & it caused over 5% of the global disease burden.
