
As per The Constitution of Nepal 2072, the Country's President is elected by an electoral college that includes the members from Federal Parliament (House of Representatives & National Assembly), and Provincial Assemblies each having a vote weightage of 79 votes and 48 votes per member respectively. Altogether, 275 members of the House of Representatives, 59 of the National Assembly, and 550 of the Provincial Assemblies are eligible to take part in the election. A President Candidate needs 26,921 votes to secure the post. The election is happening on March 13, 2018.
