Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) purchases petrol from the Indian Oil Corporation at Rs. 53.19 per liter. After including customs charge, value-added tax, transportation cost, administration cost and other costs it is selling a liter of petrol at Rs. 103 making a profit of Rs.2.77 profit per liter of petrol.In FY 2016/17, petrol consumption in Nepal stood at Rs. 4,07,270 KL.
