WOMEN IN LOCAL BODIES ELECTION (PHASE 1)

Of the total 13,400 elected representatives from local bodies election (phase 1), 40.63% are female representatives. Only 4 out of 96 municipalities have female mayor representative. Likewise 8 out of 186 rural municipalities have women head. However most of the elected representatives for the post of deputy mayor of municipalities and deputy heads of rural municipalities are female.
