The Secondary Education Exam – the transformed examination of School Leaving Certificate – has begun throughout the country since 8.00 am from Thursday.
The Office of the Controller of the Examination, Sanothimi, on Wednesday had said that the entire preparations for this year's SEE were completed.
Examinations Controller Ambika Prasad Regmi said employees and security personnel required for the SEE have already reached examination centres today itself.
A total of 485,586 students are taking their examination this year while 1,956 examination centres have been arranged. Some 64,762 human resources have been deployed to hold the SEE in a peaceful manner.
The SEE under general stream would run till March 31 while the exam under technical stream will end on April 3.
